Boys Soccer

Sept. 1

East Mountain 1, Santa Fe Prep 0

Kyle Hoffman’s first-half goal off an assist from Trevor Head proved to be the difference for the Timberwolves. Goalkeeper Aidric Dominguez made seven saves to preserve the shutout at the Taos Tournament.

Sept. 1

East Mountain 2, St. Michael’s 0

The Timberwolves’ Brycen Smith dished out feeds to Kyle Hoffman and Reed Stuehrenberg for second-half scores to deliver the victory in the Taos Tournament as Aidric Dominguez made eight saves.

Sept. 2

Taos 2, East Mountain 1

The host Tigers scored two second-half goals to overcome a 1-0 halftime deficit and win its own tournament. Kyle Hoffman scored the Timberwolves goal off an assist from Brycen Smith.

Sept. 5

Miyamura 2, East Mountain 1

The visiting Timberwolves got an early goal from Aaron Hewitt off an assist from Benjamin Schwebke, but the Patriots came back with a pair of scores in the second half for the victory.

Sept. 5

Robertson 3, East Mountain 2

The visiting Pintos scored in each half, but the Cardinals matched that with two second-half goals to get the win.

Girls Soccer

Sept. 2

Moriarty 3, Ruidoso 2

Brooklynn Olivas, Caroline Roberts and Lindsey Rebarchik each scored for the visiting Pintos, while the goalkeeping tandem of Kylie McDonough and Dawn Burton combined to make seven saves in the win.

Sept. 2

East Mountain 4, Robertson 1

The visiting Timberwolves broke open a tie game with three second-half goals to put away the Cardinals. Berkley Flammang scored a hat trick and Rylee Hyde added a goal, while Savannah Gomez had two assists.

Sept. 5

Bosque 1, Moriarty 0

Despite eight saves from Kylie McDonough and Dawn Burton for the host Pintos, the Bobcats snuck in a late goal to get the win.

East Mountain 1, Miyamura 1

The host Timberwolves got a late goal to salvage a tie against the Patriots.

Volleyball

Sept. 1

Grady 3, East Mountain 0

The Timberwolves fell to the Bronchos 25-17, 25-16, 25-12 with Abigail Moore collecting three kills and Cashia Simkins adding four assists.

Sept. 2

East Mountain 3, Santa Rosa 0

Ashlynne Lewis had seven kills to spur the Timberwolves to a 26-24, 25-17, 25-19 win over the Lions.

Sept. 2

San Jon 3, East Mountain 0

The Timberwolves fell to the Coyotes 25-12, 25-12, 25-22 as Terra Norman had three kills.

Sept. 5

Hope Christian 3, Moriarty 0

Victoria Alvarado had six assists for the visiting Pintos, who fell to the Huskies 25-12, 25-17, 25-11.

Cross Country

Sept. 2

Moriarty

The Pintos boys finished second in the Española Invite with 75 points. Bruno Vacquera was fourth overall, finishing in 20-minutes, 21-seconds and Domicio Brito was ninth in 20:48. The girls won the event with 34 points behind Carmen Dorsey-Spitz in second at 23:08, Clara Windsor sixth in 25:48, Ashtyn Walter seventh in 25:55, Olivia Hasler ninth in 27:37 and Rachel Gustafson 10th in 27:51.

Sept. 2

Estancia

Steve Barela led the Estancia effort at the ATC Invitational in Santa Fe, finishing in 24th with a time of 20:07. On the girls side, Lyndi Otis was 53, finishing in 27:43.
